Ecuador Palo Santo

Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens)

Translates from Spanish as"Holy wood" and is traditionally used to elevate the mind and purify the air.

It comes from the same botanical family as frankincense and is often used in meditation.

Boswellia sacra is believed to be the frankincense documented during ancient times.

It is believed that this beautiful, white hojari resin produced the sacred frankincense that was one of three special gifts mentioned in the bible. Sacred Frankincense is grounding and can be used to enhance and uplift your spirit.

Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata)

Ylang Ylang essential oil has a sweet, floral aroma that was historically believed to balance yin and yang.

Palo Santo Trees "Holy Wood"

I think of Palo Santo as tropical frankincense.

I had an unexpected sacred experience in the Palo Santo forest.

I have bottles at home but I didn't think much of the oil until I visited the trees in their natural habitat in Ecuador. I was at my limit with IV's and other spa treatments. When I took a deep smell of the fresh broken limb a clean rush of pure feeling energy went straight into my heart and being. I was ecstatic and unexpectedly moved by the experience, "just like frankincense."
